When you complete the 6 workshops in the Essential Leadership Skills Series (ELSS), you will have the information, skills, and support you need to become a more effective leader. You will also benefit from working with an experienced mentor. We will invite you to monthly webcasts where you can ask questions or seek advice. We don’t want these self-study workshops to feel like an isolated experience. We want to stay connected with you as you proceed.
Our Founder, Guy Greco, has over 35 years of experience coaching and developing effective leaders. Over 5,000 supervisors and managers, just like you, have completed these workshops with great results.
Now it is your turn.
We invite you to take a few minutes to get to know our founder and learn how each program fits together to give you the essential skills, stories, and recommendations you need to be a very effective leader.
Effective leaders know how to engage their staff. Did you know that less than 30% of the workforce is truly engaged in their work? This means the large majority of employees just show up for the paycheck. If you are a leader working with employees who are "not engaged", you are far more tired at the end of the day than if you work with, or develop, engaged employees.
"Engaged" employees enjoy their work. They believe their jobs have purpose and meaning. They look for ways to solve problems, offering innovative ideas. They have good working relationships with their boss, and they do what they can to drive the organization forward.
"Not engaged" employees (about 50% of the workforce) are generally checked out with no real drive, enthusiasm, or motivation. They show up to work to pay their bills. They don't think their jobs matter. Their life interests and passions lie outside the organization.
"Actively Disengaged" employees (about 20%) are not happy. They tend to dislike or hate their bosses. They are often negative ringleaders who spread their discontent and try to undermine the efforts of engaged employees.
“Bosses who do all the talking, will find themselves surrounded by employees who have nothing to say.?”
Our Professional Facilitators and Coaches are second to none. When you learn from our video presentations in an ELSS workshop, you can be certain that your leader is a seasoned, “Been there, done that” professional with a real track record of leadership success.
We talk in common sense terms. We cover the material in an interesting way – never dry or dull with plenty of stories to demonstrate how to apply the skills and recommendations we offer. We ask good questions, which we can cover during our monthly voluntary webcasts.
Because online education is self-study, you can't ask questions in real time. So, each month we offer a free webcast. If you enroll in one of our workshops, you can attend the monthly webcasts at no charge and ask the questions that matter most to you.
The course starts whenever you are ready. The ELSS is a completely self-paced program. You decide when you want to start, how often your want to complete the 6 workshops, and when you finish.
We know you are busy. We recommend that you allow between 1 and 2 months to complete the full Essential Leadership Skills Series (6 workshops). This should help to keep you on track and keep the material fresh.
Your access to your ELSS account never expires. So, you may review the videos and content for any workshop at any time.
Yes. Once you complete all 6 workshops, we will send you an ELSS Completion Certificate.
