Sustaining Top Performers
The impact of appreciation and positive reinforcement
About the Course
Hopefully you have people who work for you that you greatly value and who you would sorely miss if they were gone. We call these employees top performers for a reason. These talented and committed staff are the people you count on to get things done in your department. But because they are not a problem and therefore not always top of mind, we sometimes forget there is a leadership action they deserve. It’s called appreciation.
Do your top employees know they are appreciated? Do they believe their efforts are worth it? They might, but as leaders we can’t take the risk that they don’t know this. This workshop shows you how to sustain the drive, work ethic, and quality of your best employees. It involves more than just a thank you. Take this workshop and you’ll understand what we mean.
"If you like what somebody does, tell them and chances are they’ll do it again."

Your Instructor
I am the founder of Leadership Means. I can still vividly remember
the first time I had to counsel an employee due to his
unsatisfactory performance. My heart was definitely pounding.
But I followed the steps I had taught others when I was in the
training department and I had a successful outcome.
I have over 30 years’ experience in developing and facilitating
leadership and personal development courses. I have taught more
than 5,000 managers and supervisors how to increase the level of
commitment and engagement of their employees. I also spent
many years of my corporate life in line management positions. So,
I have had the opportunity to use the same skills I have taught in
class. I’ll tell you about my successes, but just as importantly, I
tell you the mistakes I made so the you can avoid them. I promise
you will learn a lot and have some fun in the process.
